We launched the Better Today project in early 2022. We provide free-of-charge support services on issues such as mental health, drugs, alcohol, gambling, loneliness, cost of living crisis and more. We do this with our online video content across social media platforms and during our in-person community drop-in group sessions in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
John is an established DJ of 20+ years and has played at some of the craziest raves in the UK. He is very proud to fly the flag for team sobriety at these parties and he still loves doing what he does - even though he's completely drug and alcohol-free!
The Hive is a support service for young people in the Rother Valley South area. John partnered with the local NHS Primary Care Network to manage and deliver an innovative programme of support for local young people. We hold evening drop-in sessions and 1-2-1 support. It's a blend of traditional youth work and specialist support for young people with issues such as mental health and addiction.
The Rotherham Recovery Community was launched in 2023 to help bring together organisations and partners to best support those in recovery from drugs or alcohol in the Rotherham area. John and Katie are both Recovery Mentors and play a vital role in the evolution of recovery programmes across the Rotherham area.
