Projects
We launched the Better Today project in early 2022. We provide free-of-charge support services on issues such as mental health, drugs, alcohol, gambling, loneliness, cost of living crisis and more. We do this with our online video content across social media platforms and during our in-person community drop-in group sessions in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
I am an established DJ of 20+ years and have played at some of the craziest raves in the UK. I'm very proud to fly the flag for team sobriety at these parties and I still love doing what I do even though I'm completely drug and alcohol-free!
The Hive is a support service for young people in the Rother Valley South area. I partnered with the local NHS Primary Care Network to manage and deliver an innovative programme of support for local young people. We hold evening drop-in sessions and 1-2-1 support. It's a blend of traditional youth work and specialist support for young people with issues such as mental health and addiction.
The Rotherham Recovery Community was launched in 2023 to help bring together organisations and partners to best support those in recovery from drugs or alcohol in the Rotherham area. I was asked to become a Recovery Champion in Rotherham - i've since delivered several bespoke programmes for the community and was also asked to be a guest speaker on stage at their launch event to talk about my role in the recovery sector.
